London Center - Scotland

Scotland, specifically Skye, was my top priority as places to visit before I left - family connections and years of lore demanded it. The first weekend after we arrived I was able to scratch it off the list and it did not disappoint. We rode the Haggis Tours bus from Edinburgh (after an overnight train) to Kyleachin just across the bridge to Skye to Loch Ness and back south. Its beauty is wild in the Webster's sense of being untamed and, being north of Moscow, the weather is out to get you even on good days. Between the conditions and the sparcity of civilization, you feel like you're at the edge of the world: the mountains seem to go on forever and when you look out to sea you feel like nothing could be at the other side. It's proud, it's mystical, it's storied. If you can visit, do it - and let the English see you do it.

Yeah, you know it. Highly recommend Haggis Tours for anyone visiting Scotland and Ireland.
